Equilibrium calculation of transport coefficients for a fluid-particle model.
A recently introduced particle-based model for fluid flow, called stochastic rotation dynamics, can be made Galilean invariant by introducing a random shift of the computational grid before collisions. In this paper, it is shown how the Green-Kubo relations derived previously can be resummed to obtain exact expressions for the collisional contributions to the transport coefficients. It is also ...

Theoretical calculation methods for kinesin in fast axonal transport.
The method of making Monte Carlo calculations of the velocity of fast axonal transport is described and applied in a relatively simple case. These illustrative calculations are supplemented by a differential equation solution of the same problem, valid as an asymptotic limit. The latter treatment is closely related to the theory of muscle contraction.

This paper introduces a new grid reenement and coarsening technique for the approximation of partial diierential equations including a rst order time derivative. This hierarchical movement algorithm is based on the nested iteration method. The combination of this algorithm, a quasi Newton method and the Schur-complement multi-grid method leads to an eecient method for the solution of partial di...
Performance Analysis of Dynamic Network Processes
This tutorial covers various approaches for modeling and analyzing dynamic processes in networks. Modeling the dynamic performance as a stochastic process, we apply tools from discrete and continues timeMarkov processes theory, renewal theory and queueing theory to analyze the long term, steady state, performance of the processes. Nonstochastic approaches include adversarial queueing theory, an...
